We’re still snowed in.

No… but really.

Thank goodness that Jacob has a big, beefy truck… or this would be much more dramatic.

We’ve been able to get out and around. We’ve been able to see some friends. We’ve been able to take friends to get groceries, although there are very few groceries to be found.

In fact, there have been no bananas in Tulsa since Monday. Not. One. It’s been weird. No milk, ok. No bread or eggs, fine. No bananas?? Today, Whole Foods had bananas. I don’t even really like bananas that much, but I was so excited that I bought 3 big bunches.

Tonight, Jacob made his (famous) wings. They need to marinate overnight so we can take them to a Super Bowl party tomorrow night.

Aaahh… the Super Bowl. Such a normal thing to do.


J’s Wicked Wingy Sauce
makes sauce for ~5 1/2 lbs of chicken wings or legs

  • 1/3 c worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c light soy sauce
  • 1/4 c sriracha
  • 1/4 c cholula
  • 2 T habanero salsa
  • 1 1/2 T sriracha chili garlic sauce
  • 2 T sweet hot mustard
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 2 1/2 T brown sugar
  • 1 T white sugar
  • 1 T coriander
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 2 T garlic powder
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1 T cumin
  • 1/2 T paprika
  • 1 T cayenne

mix. marinate. cook em up.
